Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Crater is often described as a “Garden of Eden” due to its lush landscapes, diverse wildlife, and breathtaking scenery. The crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and serves as a natural enclosure for an incredible concentration of wildlife.

As you descend into the crater, you’ll be greeted by a vast, flat expanse teeming with wildlife. The crater is home to a dense population of animals, including the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, rhinoceros, and buffalo). It’s not uncommon to witness thrilling predator-prey interactions or see large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles grazing on the grassy plains.
